Ahmedabad is building faster than at any point in its history. Speed is not the problem — speed without a quality system is.
Where quality is actually lost
In practice, defects trace back to a small number of causes: unapproved material substitutions, missed inspection hold points, and finishing trades that reopen completed work because a service arrived late.
What a real quality system looks like
Inspection and test plans agreed before work starts. Hold points where work genuinely stops. Material traceable to an approved source. Third-party testing. Non-conformance closed at root cause rather than patched.
The cost argument
Rework is more expensive than doing it right, and defect liability is more expensive than either. Quality systems are not an overhead on a project; they are the cheapest form of risk management available.
Questions to ask your contractor
Ask to see the ITPs. Ask how non-conformances were closed on the last project. Ask who signs the hold points. The answers separate contractors who have a system from contractors who have a brochure.

Your project deserves the right hands. Send the drawings, the plot details or just the idea — an engineer reviews it and comes back with a feasibility view, not a brochure.
